Winter Park’s Peterbrooke Chocolatier Celebrates National Milk Chocolate Day
In preparation for National Milk Chocolate Day, (which is tomorrow–July 28th) we had the pleasure of hanging out with Winter Park’s Peterbrooke Chocolatier team, as well as Collen Burns of Yelp Orlando. We had our own dipping party and I must say: Best. Party. Ever. I love chocolate (I’m not sure I trust people who don’t love chocolate) and this experience was a chocolate lover’s dream.
We had a history lesson about Peterbrooke Chocolatier where we learned about the amazing quality of their ingredients and that the company was founded right here in Florida. (Jacksonville, to be precise.) We sampled their most popular treats including chocolate drizzles popcorn, chocolate covered bacon (being a vegetarian and all, I skipped that one, but it did get rave reviews), dark chocolate truffles and more. But we have to say the best part was our lesson in chocolate dipping. The Peterbrooke team taught us how to make our own chocolate covered wonders. We dipped oreos, strawberries, apples and pretzel sticks and it was fabulous.
What’s even better is that this chocolate dipping party is something that anyone can do! (Not just some super secret blogger thing.) Dipping parties are great for date nights, bridal or baby showers or just because. We definitely think that it would be a very impressive date night and at just $20 per person, it’s a steal! Trust us, guys, the ladies will be impressed!) We recommend starting your date with dessert, that’s what we did and it worked out quite well for us.
In celebration of National Milk Chocolate Day, which is tomorrow, Winter Park’s Peterbrooke Chocolatier is giving away free milk chocolate bars to the first hundred people to come through the door. They are located at 300 South Park Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789 and the doors open at 10am. If the high quality chocolate wasn’t enough to convince you to head out to Park Ave to get yourself a chocolate bar, check out all of the fun we had in the video below (you might want to turn up your audio for the first part, it’s was a little noisy during our chocolate lesson)!
