The Rusty Spoon: Locally sourced, classy and delicious

By in Cuisine on January 3, 2012

Over the holidays, I eventually grew sick of turning my kitchen into a mess so we headed downtown to find some dinner. We stumbled upon The Rusty Spoon. Erica had lunch there a few months back and we had been wanting to go back for dinner for quite some time, so we seized the opportunity.

This European-inspired restaurant prides itself on locally sourced ingredients, but that’s not the only thing they have to be proud of! The menu was incredibly creative. I had a fall lasagna with butternut squash, mushrooms, tomatoes and other wonderful fall flavors. The pasta was so fresh—clearly made in house. I can honestly say that I have not been so wowed by a meal in a long time. My brother and my fiance raved about the squid and burgers, respectively. They definitely have something for everyone on this menu. The quality and freshness of the ingredients was undeniable.

We ordered coffee post meal and everything from the espresso demitasse to the French press was so charming. It was the perfect ending to an amazing meal.

The Rusty Spoon has a great ambiance. It’s a spacious restaurant with a very clean and modern feel. Check out the photo gallery below for a peek at their photo wall. The service was absolutely stellar, they were quick, informative and attentive. The beer selection was awesome. The overall experience was definitely one I would recommend, but I can’t wait to repeat.

Caring for angling baits is a craftsmanship that incorporates dealing with and keeping up repair of angling draws so they are constantly in great condition after they are made and purchased. This will oblige some exertion and time however it is well worth the trouble in the event that you need to get the most extreme utilization from them.
