For six years now the Orlando community has pulled together to Rock for Hunger and we are stoked to be attending this year’s event. When the Plaza Live asked if we wanted to be a part of something cool, we couldn’t resist. So we’re heading out to this event this weekend AND we’re giving away a pair of tickets. Proceeds from this rockin’ event (pun intended) go to benefit Heart 2 Heart and New Image Youth, with 100% of the proceeds of signed concert poster, CDs and shirt sales (cleverly labeled as the Plaza Live Garage Sale) going to benefits these two organizations.
Heart 2 Heart will be on site raising awareness of their charity, as well as raffling off some prizes, including tickets to an upcoming show at the Plaza Live. There will be food trucks and craft vendors, so skip a couple of Starbucks drinks this week and use those dollars to support a great cause. It’s a guaranteed great time, so it’s pretty much a win win situation. No pressure!
Last, but certainly not least, canned food donations are being accepted. So go through your pantry or take a couple of dollars to your local Publix and trade them in for some black beans, green beans and other nutritious vegetables. Because it’s for a good cause and also because it’s kind of amazing how a couple of dollars can make a lot of change.
