Living in South East Orlando is peaceful…sometimes too much so. However, as Lake Nona develops, there is a little bit more to do with each passing day. After a long work week, I used my around me app to discover that there was a place within 5 miles of home that we had yet to visit. So off to Lake Nona Tap Room we went.
While the seating arrangement needs to be improved, the atmosphere was inviting. The draft selection (pictures on the left) features 50 beers and is seriously impressive. They also have an incredible selection of bottles beers.
The staff provided some of the best service I’ve had in quite some time. I ordered a Kona Fire Rock which none of them had tried and I poured them each a little shot of beer so that the next time someone asked their opinions on the Kona Fire Rock, they could give it.
Nona Tap Room has a great selection of appetizers, sandwiches and salad with various vegetarian options. While their beer is slightly pricier than the average bar (which is perfectly reasonable considering the selection that they maintain), their food options are in the same price range as a TGI Fridays, but much tastier (we ordered chips and salsa) and you’re supporting a local business in an up and coming area!
