Fun by the Glass at Eola Wine Company

A few weeks ago when we went to Cocina 214, we found ourselves needing to kill some time while we waited for our table to be ready. So we went over to Eola Wine Company on Park Avenue in Winter Park and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there! Why we hadn’t stopped by this adorable place sooner is unbeknownst to me! The set up is warm and inviting and they’ve definitely used their space wisely. Eola Wine Company has a large bar toward the back of the space and lots of seating inside and outside. It’s a good thing they have so many tables because it was super busy! They have some fun artwork on the back walls, but most of the walls are decorated with lots of wine. The dark wood shelves add to that warm and inviting ambiance. The table where we sat was low to the ground and surrounding by well-cushioned couches and chairs. It just beckons you to stay for a while.

Erica and I sampled 4 different bubbly wines— how fun is that? While there are lots of wine bars in the Orlando area where you can sample different wines, we are kind of enchanted with the hanging wine glass tray they bring them out on. Our server set the wine glasses down and took away the tray before we could snap a shot, but it looks like this, but with a handle.

In other news, the appetizers we had were delicious. We all shared a sun-dried tomato spread and we literally cleaned the plate. The menu is rich (don’t worry they have some lite bites, too!) from baked brie to duck flatbread. They have a whole section of their menu dedicated to cheese! We can’t wait to go back to sample more of this menu. Eola Wine Company also has a location downtown. After our great experience at the Winter Park location, we’re looking forward to visiting their downtown location.

Have you been to either location? We’d love to hear your thoughts.
