If you’ve been following us on Facebook, then you know that last week we attended Emeril Lagasse’s cooking demonstration at Macy’s Mall at Millenia. If you’ve seen Emeril on tv, then you know that he has a big personality that is just as entertaining as the recipes he prepares. This cooking demo was no different! Emeril was in Orlando promoting his new cookbook, Emeril’s Kicked Up Sandwiches: Stacked with Flavor.
To cover this event we sent Laura’s fiancé and meat-eating, guest blogger extraordinaire. Here’s what he reported back:

Eric’s thoughts:
The samples were loaded with flavor and simple to make. While I normally would not use so much butter on my sandwiches, it’s a rich treat for a special occasion. The beauty of a cookbook is that I could always cut back on the heavier ingredients to make it more of an every day meal. Believe it or not, I’m the head chef in our household and these flavorful sandwiches will surely delight, even if I do have to adapt them to my vegetarian fiancée’s dietary needs. (At least I get to enjoy the sandwich the way Emeril intended!) I’ve never been to a cooking demonstration, so all in all it was an entertaining event that gave me some inspiration to Kick Up my sandwiches.
